Chapter 11 - Keir

I freeze in an instant, and then my body moves on instinct, leaning toward Andrea as if sharing a secret. I can see her eyes flutter closed, the pressure of her lips is so soft and warm, and the wave of sensations shuts off my mind exactly when I need it the most. What is she doing? Why?

As if annoyed by my confusion, Andrea sighs into the kiss, tightening her hold on my shoulders. Her breath tingles on my lips, sending a rush of goosebumps down my arms—and they finally move.

Something clicks in my mind, and I kiss her back, wrapping my arms around her waist and pulling her closer. I don’t know why Andrea is kissing me, but I’m not gonna let my chance slip away. I close my eyes and lean into the kiss, easily taking over, and she sighs again—this time, with satisfaction—and weaves her arms around my neck.

God, this feels so good. My mind still isn’t working, but I’m glad—because it allows me to not think about anything but the sensation of Andrea’s lips on mine. Her body melts into me, and the thin fabric of my t-shirt that hides not an inch of her nudity makes my blood heat up with excitement. I tighten my hold on her, pulling her closer, and Andrea sighs softly and smiles, pulling back.

She looks up into my eyes, and my heart tightens from the closeness of her beautiful face. Her blue eye is mischievous, her brown eye is warm, and I feel dizzy from a rush of affection. Her dark hair is wet, framing her face with incredible patterns, and I push a strand of hair off her forehead, allowing my hand to linger on her neck.

“What are you doing?” I whisper, just to let the question out of my mind, just to make sure I understand what’s happening between us. Andrea huffs with a chuckle and shakes her head, her gaze still holding mine with a glimmer of fondness in her eyes.

“Don’t you see?” She shrugs, pushing her fingers through my hair probably just to make it harder for me not to kiss her. “I’m accepting your confession.”

“Oh, you are?”

Andrea hums with a smile, catching the amused notes in my voice. “I’m surprised too. Maybe I should think about it some more?”

“Oh no,” I mutter, leaning to give her another kiss. “Don’t think, that’s not good.”

Andrea doesn’t reply and only squeezes my shoulders tighter, responding to the kiss without delay. I pull my arms tighter around her back and waist, pressing her body flush to mine and reveling in the thrum of warmth and desire between us. Andrea arches into my hold and parts her lips, inviting me to deepen the kiss, but as soon as I do so, she nibbles my lip with a mischievous chuckle.

God, this is better than anything I’ve ever imagined.

We kiss without a thought about the world around us, only sensations, only feelings taking up my mind—which is why it takes me so long to understand that something’s wrong.
